2 Chinese nationals nabbed for robbing, extorting money from Pinay in Taguig 


Two Chinese nationals were arrested by the Taguig police on Jan. 14 for allegedly robbing and extorting money from a Pinay.

The suspects identified as Fei He, 40, and Haikang Lyu, 32, were arrested in an entrapment by the Taguig police at Xylo at Uptown Parade in Barangay Fort Bonifacio.

The police recovered a Cebuana Bank card, PhilHealth ID and vaccination card, passport, an iPhone 13, P1,000 bill and 19 pieces boodle P1,000 bills.

The arrest stemmed from a complaint filed by Aska Abigail Yamamoto, 32, who told the police she was a victim of robbery holdup committed by the two suspects on Jan. 12.

Yamamoto said the suspects demanded P20,000 for the return of her belongings.

The two suspects are also facing drug charges after a body search conducted by the police showed Fei He in possession of two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 2.2 grams with a value of P14,960. The police also found a plastic sachet containing suspected shabu weighing 1.1 grams valued at P7,480 from Haikang Lyu.

The suspects are detained at the Taguig police station while complaints are being prepared against them.
