The Muntinlupa City government has released the updated schedule for residents wishing to register as voters with the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Mayor Ruffy Biazon encouraged Muntinlupeños from various sectors to "register and be counted; your vote is your voice, and it matters."
Members of the LGBTQIA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, , intersex, asexual, and ) community were scheduled to register with the Office of the Election Officer at Ayala Malls South Park on Jan. 9 while youth voters can proceed to the same venue on Jan. 10.
On Jan. 11 and 12, the registration caravan will go to the Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) in NBP Reservation and on Jan. 13 to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Compound in Barangay Tunasan to enlist persons deprived of liberty (PDLs).
On Jan. 14, the Comelec voter registration returns to the Ayala Malls South Park to serve senior citizens, women, and persons with disabilities (PWDs).
As a safety precaution, Comelec reminds voter registrants to monitor for flu-like symptoms such as cough, colds, and fever, and instead defer their registration if they are currently experiencing any of these conditions to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
