Nine drug pushers nabbed, P2M worth of shabu seized in three anti-drugs operation in Quezon


INFANTA, Quezon – Some 100 grams of shabu worth P2-million were seized and nine suspected drug peddlers including a high value individual were arrested in three separate anti-illegal drug operations on Friday, Jan. 6 in this town.

The Infanta police’s biggest haul of the said operation was in Purok Sampaguita, Brgy. Comon with the arrest of Ricardo Morfe, a high value individual who yielded 100 grams of shabu worth P2,040,000.

In Purok Lagundi, Barangay Altias, the tandem Kent Meraña and Alvin Tropicals, both listed as street level individuals, were arrested during a buy-bust operation wherein one gram of shabu valued at P20,400 was seized from them.

Drug suspects James Supremo, Hector Meraña, Marvin Orantia, Regie Marquez, Angelo Keynes and Jon-jon Poblete -- all listed street level individuals -- were arrested in Purok Ilaya Dos, Barangay Bacong at around 3:30 a.m.

Police caught Supremo group while having a pot session and found .6 grams of shabu with a street value at P12,240.

Police confiscated a total of P2,072,640, while complaints of violation of the Republic Act 9165 known as Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 against the suspects are to be filed in the prosecutor's office.
