Former ‘Star in a Million’ contestant Garth Garcia is preparing for his upcoming major concert series titled “My Time” happening on Jan. 11 in San Diego, Jan. 28 at Herbert Zipper Concert Hall in Los Angeles, and Feb. 4 in Modesto California.

“I have been very blessed last year and I wanna celebrate it through a concert series on my birthday month. It will be one of the first major concerts from a Fil-Am artist on a major venue,” Garth shared.

Last year, Garth teamed up with Grammy-nominated duo Klubjumpers for a single and cover of Janet Jackson’s “Together Again.” He also won at Star Awards for Music 2022 as Male R&B Artist of the Year.

Asked what are the songs he’s going to sing at “My Time,” Garcia responded, “It will be a mix of different genres. I will also be performing songs from my previous albums. At mapakikinggan din nila ‘yung songs na malapit sa puso ko at mayroong meaning sa buhay ko.”

The Filipino-American community in Los Angeles has been very supportive to Garth’s music career. Now, it is his time to show his gratitude.

Garth said, “I want them to feel that I am very grateful to them, all these years that they have been supporting me and my career. We are such a strong community in LA. We connect. We really care for each other. We rise each other. That’s what we should do—lift Asian artists.”

“My Time” concert series features Jaya, Louise Gem, and Tootsie Guevara with Cristiani, Kevin, Ksei. Patrick Rivera will serve as musical director. Garth personally invited his guests.

“I’ve worked with Jaya in Texas. Ang gaan n’ya kasama kahit na isa na s’ya sa mga haligi ng OPM. I wanna work with her more kaya I invited her sa LA leg.

“It’s gonna be the first time na makaka-work ko si Tootsie so I am excited kasi she also had hits in the PH.

“Si Louise naman is an accomplished singer and one of the finalists sa singing competition that I co-produced with Angel Bonilla. She is based in San Diego so I had her as a guest sa San Diego leg.”

On his preparations, the singer and producer said, “I did some workouts, dance lessons, and vocal lessons with trainers in LA. I am also rehearsing regularly with my band.”

In his years as recording artist and producer, was there always a pressure?

“Yes. Pressure in the sense na I have to show them something na hindi pa nila nakikita before and the show should not be boring,” Garth ended.

Garth Garcia’s “My Time” concert series is produced by Starlink Promotions (Garth’s company), TGM Group of Companies for Los Angeles, SRR Entertainment for San Diego, Great Events by Monet, Singermania Management, and DC Professional Services.
