3 Chinese men arrested in Cavite for kidnapping woman


CAVITE – Authorities rescued a Chinese woman allegedly kidnapped by three Chinese men in Barangay Molino 4, Bacoor City on Thursday evening, Jan. 5.

Bacoor City Police Station (CPS) identified the 28-year-old victim as alias Wu, a resident of Neijiang City, Sichuan, China.

The suspects were identified as Huang Jun, 31; Huang Chen Bo, 24; and Chang Yu Pen, 22.

According to a statement from the Cavite Police Provincial Office, Bacoor CPS got a tip that the suspects kidnapped the victim in Pasay City and took her to Bacoor.

Upon verification of the incident, a joint rescue operation was conducted by Bacoor CPS, Cavite Provincial Intelligence Unit, and the Philippine National Police Anti-Kidnapping Group (AKG).

Among the pieces of evidence confiscated during the rescue operation were three handguns, magazines and ammunition, a grenade, and a jungle knife.

In a phone interview with the Manila Bulletin, Bacoor CPS officer-in-charge Lt. Col. Ruther S. Saquilayan said the victim did not sustain physical injuries during the incident.

Saquilayan did not provide additional details about the operation as the case has been turned over to the AKG, including custody of the suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence.
