‘Voltes V: Legacy’ trailer goes viral


Let’s volt in.

This may have been at the top of the minds of fans after the trailer of the much-awaited "Voltes V: Legacy" series dropped as part of the GMA New Year Countdown program over the weekend.

They were only too quick to make it go viral.

Note the trailer already hit a whopping 2.5 million views on Facebook.

It now also has 1.1 million views on YouTube.

Most of the comments were favorable too:

“Bawat linya.. Bawat effects.. ang husay.. people will surely love this..”

The five-minute sneak peek, as introduced by actor Alden Richards, revealed more characters inherent to the original storyline.

Most surprising of all is that of Ned Armstrong as played by Dennis Trillo.

Also seen in the trailer were Martin del Rosario, Liezel Lopez, Epi Quizon, and Carla Abellana.

Already introduced prior were the main cast of the show: Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, Radson Flores, Matt Lozano, and Raphael Landicho.

According to Helen Sese, AVP of GMA Drama, the mega trailer is TOEI-approved.

The Japanese animation company, she said, saw the final edit and was "super impressed" with it.

Show director Mark Reyes is happy, proud and grateful over fan support, expressing his delight via Instagram.

"Thank you for your appreciation for all our hard work," he wrote.
