The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) disclosed on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2023, that aviation operations have returned to normal, even as it assured that it will be ready for any inquiry that will be initiated by the Senate on the now-infamous New Year’s Day shut down of Philippine air space that affected 300 flights and 65,000 passengers.

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. left for Beijing, China, for a three-day state visit where he is expected to hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on political and security issues.

But the President’s visit to China will be saddled with restrictions as the country deals with a resurgence in Covid-19 infections. As such, Marcos will not be able to meet with the Filipino community in Beijing.

Organizers of the Feast of the Black Nazarene have released the route for the “Walk of Faith”, which will be held to replace the traditional “Traslacion”, on Jan. 9, 2023.
