BTS

According to Guinness World Records, BTS set four records in 2022. They won the most blimps by a music group at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards with six, erasing their previous record.

In addition, BTS set the records for the most followers on Instagram for a music group, most followers on Twitter for a music group and most followers on TikTok for a music group.

As of this writing, BTS’ Instagram account has 70.4 million followers, their Twitter account has 42.3 million followers while they have 56.1 million followers in TikTok.

“Not only are the Bangtan Boys the kings of K-pop, but undoubtedly the kings of social media as well, having cultivated a multi-language fan base that is groundbreaking and unheard of. But BTS’s record breaking achievements don’t stop there. In fact, BTS has smashed dozens of records since the group first debuted in 2013, earning a whopping 13 in 2021!” according to Guinness World Records.

Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift set new records with the release of her album “Midnights.”

These are the most streamed album on Spotify in 24 hours (184.6 million streams), most day-one streams of an album on Spotify (184.6 million streams) and most streamed act on Spotify in 24 hours (228 million streams), according to Guinness.

Taylor Swift’s total includes the number of streams for the standard 13-track album (161.5 million) and the additional seven songs on the ‘3am Edition’ (23.1 million),” it added.

Anitta

Brazilian singer Anitta “wowed the world this year when she made history by becoming the first solo Latin artist to reach No. 1 on Spotify. In just 10 years, Anitta has become one of Brazil’s biggest pop stars.”

“Never before had the world seen a Spotify song played so many times in a single day in Brazil, with 4.1 million of the 6.3 million plays on the daily chart (25) coming from the South American country. The influential Latin star even earned herself a place in the new Guinness World Records 2023 edition!” stated Guinness.
