LAGUNA – Authorities arrested here a couple and confiscated P120,000 worth of suspected methamphetamine or shabu during a buy-bust operation in Bay municipality on Saturday, Aug. 6.
Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) identified the suspects as live-in partners, Regin S. Bangay, 37; and Jacquelyn A. Tobias, 32.
During the operation launched by the Bay Municipal Police Station (MPS) in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 4A, the suspects were caught in the act of selling a sachet of suspected shabu to the police-poseur buyer.
Authorities recovered 12 more sachets of suspected shabu and P400 drug money as well as the P1000 buy-bust money.
The suspects are now in the custody of Bay MPS and are facing drug charges.
Bangay and Tobias have been previously arrested for drug charges in Calauan and Pangil, respectively.
