Pasay City barangay launches 'shoot for a cause' project


A project called “shoot for a cause”, which aims to collect plastic bottles, was launched in Barangay 113, Pasay City, on Wednesday, July 27.

Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano lauded Chariman Irma Sunlayan for placing a basketball ring with big net in the barangay, where residents can place used plastic bottles.

Rubiano is calling on barangay residents to participate in the “shoot for cause” project that also aims to reduce garbage around the village.

She said the collected bottles will be sold to raise money for the purchase of materials needed in the production of dishwashing liquid, one of the livelihood initiatives of the barangay for its residents.

Rubiano added the program is also part of her HELP (Health and Housing, Education, Economic growth and Environment, Livelihood and Lifestyle; Peace and Order, Palenkge (Market) and Pamilya (Family) priority agenda.
