CANDELARIA, Quezon – An alleged member of a kidnap-for-ransom (KFR) group tagged by police as the province’s fourth most wanted person was arrested Wednesday, July 13, in Barangay Poblacion Norte, this town.

Police identified the suspect as Camille Bobadilla Lesegues, also known as “Camille Lesegues Bubudilla,” of Sitio Sampaloc Lakers, Barangay Malabanban Norte, this town.

Lesegues is a member of the Ricky Barrios kidnap-for-ransom syndicate, according to Police Lt. Lovelynn Lalunio, chief information officer of the Quezon Police Provincial Office.

Judge Helen Cabinian Magampon-Meberit, acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Fourth Judicial Region, Branch 59, Lucena City, issued a warrant of arrest against Lesegues for kidnapping with homicide and robbery.

She was arrested by local police led by Master Sgt. Mark Lemuel Alvarez on Nadres St. at around 12:30 a.m.

The suspect was allegedly involved in the kidnapping of a businessman in Barangay Mangilag Sur here in April 2018.

Her group demanded a ransom from the victim’s relatives, prompting the police to launch a rescue operation in Barangay San Nicolas, San Pablo City.

A gunfight occurred during the operation in which a policeman was killed.

Lalunio said the arrest of the accused was a result of intelligence networking of the police and community leaders.
