June 19 to 30: HAPI art exhibit for Pride

The Humanist Alliance Philippines, International (HAPI) art exhibit featureS 23 artists from all over the Philippines and one based in the US, showcasing various forms of mediums from photographs to fabric, digital, oil on canvas, installation art, film, etc; they will be accompanied by poetry written by HAPI-Dumaguete Pride Events Lead Organizer Roma Jane Hechanova.

The 12-day exhibit will officially be launched at Dakong Balay Art Gallery, Dumaguete on June 19 after the second day of the Negros-wide Pride Walk; it will culminate on June 30 with an Art Talk from some of the artists.

June 23 to 30: Dumaguete Pride Month

Dumaguete has prepared numerous activities this Pride Month. For the remaining days of June, it is holding talks about Same-Sex Civil Union, a reading of Carlo Vergara’s “Zsa Zsa Zaturnnah,” a first-ever writing contest devoted to LGBTQ life in Negros Oriental, and a virtual Pride Parade.

June 25: Baguio Pride 2022

The City of Pines becomes more colorful on June 25 with its own Pride March, followed by a community art show and a spectacular ball.
