This 'Sailor Moon' collaboration collection is coming to the Philippines

Filipinos are big lovers of Japanese culture. Whether it is food, manga, and even skincare, we can’t help but fell head over heels for anything that comes from our Asian neighbor. Another thing we're obsessed about is anime, and one of the series that tops Filipino ‘90s kids’ favorites is “Sailor Moon.”

Hailed from the Japanese shōjo manga series written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi, “Sailor Moon” has garnered numerous fans from all over with its truly kawaii aesthetic and that iconic catchphrase “Moon prism power, make up!” “Sailor Moon” has been also a muse for many fashion collaborations. This time, it partners with international footwear brand Vans.

“Inspired by the beloved tales of love and friendship from the legendary anime, Vans and ‘Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon’ are teaming up for a special collaboration,” the brand says. “The action-packed collection captures the stories of Sailor Moon and the Sailor Guardians.”

Among the pieces of the collections is the Sk8-Hi Stacked, featuring a glittery motif and elements of Sailor Moon’s costume, as well as slip-on and slide footwear and shirts with images of the beloved characters from the anime.

According to Vans Philippines Instagram account, pieces from the “Vans x Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon” and “Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon by Lizzie Armanto” collections will be open for pre-orders starting June 11 until 14. The collection will hit its stores on June 15.
