Philippine coffee aims for a chunk of US market

The Philippine Consulate General in New York,  in partnership with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center, held a virtual brewing and tasting of Philippine coffee recently to promote Philippine coffee as a “specialty/premium” coffee in the US market.

There are many place in the Philippines, where premium coffee is grown, such as Sagada, Benguet, Batangas, Cavite, Davao del Sur, and Sultan Kudarat.

Drip style coffee samples from premium Arabica to premium Excelsa and premium Liberica coffee beans—grown in several areas in the Philippines, such as Sagada, Benguet, Batangas, Cavite, Davao del Sur, and Sultan Kudarat—were offered to potential suppliers.

Potential suppliers include café owners, coffee roasters, and other entrepreneurs from the US Northeast.
