Badly burned remains of young man found in La Union


SAN FERNANDO CITY, La Union – The virtually charred remains of a young man were found at a forested area in Barangay Bato here on Friday, March 11, 2022, which led authorities to believe that the victim was robbed before he was killed.

The victim was identified as Tyrone Abuan, 21, a resident of San Gabriel, La Union. He was identified by his father.

In an initial report, Barangay Bato Chairperson Gloria Munar said her nephew discovered the badly burned remains of Abuan while he was looking for firewood.

Munar also said a motorcycle, believed to have been driven by the victim, was found at the bottom of a hill.

Authorities are still investigating who could be responsible for the heinous crime.
