The activity, which commemorates the life and works of Rizal, has the theme “Rizalism: the Emergence of Peace through the Power of the Pen.”

Dalipe, with officials of the city government and members of the Knights of Rizal, participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the foot of the monument.

As this city's youngest mayor, Dalipe underscored the need to lead the youth while embodying the national hero’s ideals.

Domingo Falcasantos, a member of the Knights of Rizal, delivered an oratorical piece of one of Rizal’s works.

The activity was organized by the Zamboanga city government in collaboration with the Knights of Rizal-Western Mindanao.
