Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested a 65-year old man for allegedly posing as a dentist during a follow-up operation in Alaminos town of Laguna.
CIDG director Brig. Gen. Ronald Lee said the operation stemmed from reports about a man who illegally operates a dental clinic in Villa Adelina Subd., Brgy. San Agustin, in Alaminos town.
He identified him as Rodelo Donato. He was collared inside his residence after a CIDG operative arranged for his service.
"Upon the arrest, the suspect failed to show his license from the PRC (Professional Regulatory Commission) indicating that he is allowed to practice dentistry," said Lee.
He said a clear violation of Republic Act 9484, An Act to Regulate the Practice of Dentistry, Dental Hygiene, and Dental Technology in the Philippines.
The arrested person was temporarily detained at the Alaminos Municipal Police Station while the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to the CIDG Laguna Pr
