This 2022, the company donated 3,000 relief packs to fire and typhoon victims in seven communities in Paranaque, Cavite, and Laguna.

Its medical missions covered 932 children and adult residents of Cavite and Pasay City.

The toll road firm also gave seminars to 474 drivers and instilled road safety awareness to 160 children.

Furthermore, it pioneered an animal welfare program to address cases of stray animals wandering along its expressways, partnering with the Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) to provide free spaying and neutering to 863 pets and conducting responsible pet ownership seminars to indigent pet owners in its communities.

Finally, MPT South gave out Christmas gifts to 300 disadvantaged children in Silang, Cavite and Santa Rosa, Laguna.

"This is our way of expressing our gratitude to our communities and stakeholders, especially those who reside near our expressways," remarked Arlette V. Capistrano, MPT South Spokesperson and Assistant Vice President for Communication and Stakeholder Management Division.

"Through these programs, we give back to them and engage our employees in caring for our motorists and communities," she added.

MPT South is a unit of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation (MPTC), the toll road development arm of Metro Pacific Investments Corporation (MPIC).

MPTC is the biggest tollway builder and operator in the Philippines.

Aside from CAVITEX, CAVITEX C5 Link, and CALAX, MPTC also holds concession rights for North Luzon Expressway (NLEX), the Subic-Clark Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX), the NLEX Connector Road, and the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX) in Cebu.
