Pasig gov't to give city hall employees performance-based bonuses

In keeping with the holiday spirit, the Pasig City local government will give performance-based bonuses to city hall employees.

The city government announced that the performance-based bonus will be a minimum of 50 percent to a maximum of 65 percent of the employee's gross salary. The bonus will be based on their respective Office Performance Commitment and Review (OPCR).

Employees under the permanent, regular, co-term, contractual, and casual status are qualified to receive this bonus.

While city hall employees under job order (JO) contracts are excluded from this bonus, they will each, instead, be given a one-time rice allowance worth P2,500.

The local government assured that, aside from the OPCR, the calculation and distribution of the bonus will follow the performance-based bonus guidelines of the national government.

On his social media page, Pasig City Vice Mayor Robert "Dodot" Jaworski Jr. said the 11th City Council will convene a special session for the qualified employees to receive their added bonuses this year.

As part of the "Good Governance Incentive," the local government is working towards fair and just compensation for its employees.

These include reforms within their Human Resource Development Office (HRDO) in relation to regularizing workers, providing hazard pay and back pay, increasing salaries, and ensuring employees are able to utilize full benefits.
