Commission on Audit (COA) officials took a quick break from their work of looking into the finances of government agencies to celebrate Christmas season this year with the theme, "Pag-asa, Pagkakaisa, Pagmamahalan at Pasasalamat."
Chairperson Gamaliel A. Cordoba expressed his gratitude to COA’s officials and personnel for the warm welcome they gave him and even called them a "family" who cares for and protects one another.
He added that the message of love is not limited to just Christians because people are called to spread love and unity regardless of their religion, faith, and race.
"Ang paanyaya na makibahagi sa mga kasiyahan, pasasalamat at pag-asang dulot ng panahong ito ay bukas sa lahat, (The invitation to share in the joys, gratitude, and hope that this season brings is open to all),” he said.
Commissioner Roland C. Pondoc, on the other hand, encouraged everyone from the COA to continue working hard in the upcoming years and use their momentum this 2022 as an inspiration for their unity.
"Nawa ang mga tagumpay ng taong ito ang ating maging inspirasyon upang higit na pagtibayin ang ating samahan dito sa COA, (May the successes of this year be our inspiration to further strengthen our association here at the COA)," he said.
"Bilang isang organisasyon, sama-sama tayong magdala ng pag-asa, pagkakaisa, at pagmamahalan, (As an organization, let us together bring hope, unity, and love)," he also said.
Commissioner Mario G. Lipana's message also centered on gratitude. "Nais ko na ang pagdiriwang ng Kapaskuhan ay mas maging makahulugan kaagapay ang bagong administrasyon at bagong namumuno sa ating ahensya. Nawa ay patuloy tayong magkaroon ng pag-asa at pagkakaisa na malampasan ang lahat ng pagsubok na ating haharapin, (I wish that the celebration of Christmas will be more meaningful with the new administration and new leader of our agency. May we continue to have hope and unity to overcome all the trials we face)," he said.
