An ambulance and a garbage compactor were donated to the Philippine Army (PA) by the Armed Forces and Police Mutual Benefit Association, Inc. (AFPMBAI) on Thursday, Dec. 22.
The vehicles were turned over by AFPMBAI executives led by its President and Chief Executive Officer, Maj. Gen. Rizaldo B. Limoso (Ret), to PA represented by Maj. Gen. Adonis R. Bajao, Army vice commander, in a ceremony held at the PA Headquarters in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
"The donation is a part of the AFPMBAI's Health and General Welfare Program which benefits the organization's members and families," said PA spokesperson Col. Xerxes Trinidad.
Trinidad said that the ambulance will be given to the Sulu-based 11th Division Training School of the 11th Infantry Division (11th ID).
Meanwhile, the garbage compactor will be utilized by the PA's Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group (HHSG) in Fort Bonifacio.
Bajao expressed appreciation to the AFPMBAI for their "generous contribution to the Army and its personnel's well-being."
