25 wanted persons caught in Cordillera – police


LA TRINIDAD, Benguet – Police arrested 25 wanted persons in the Cordillera region from Dec. 11 to 17.

The Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) of the Police Regional Office-Cordillera said the Baguio City Police Office had the highest number of arrests with eight, followed by the Benguet Police Provincial Police Office with six, Ifugao PPO with five, and Kalinga PPO with one.

Capt. Marnie Abellanida, PRO-Cordillera information officer, said two of those arrested in the week-long manhunt operation were most wanted on the provincial

and municipal level.

Abellanida said as a result of the intensified police presence and campaign against criminality, 61 municipalities in the region and one police station of the Baguio City Police Office recorded zero crime incidents.

In Abra, 22 municipalities logged zero crime incidents, Mountain Province, eight; Benguet and Ifugao, nine; Kalinga, seven, and six in Apayao.

Out of the 10 police stations in Baguio, Station 9 (Irisan) recorded zero crime incidents.
