Valenzuela public school teachers, non-teaching personnel receive ‘Pamaskong Handog’ 


The Valenzuela City government on Monday, Dec. 19, turned over the P15 million “Pamaskong Handong” for the public school teaching and non-teaching personnel under the Department of Education in the city (DepEd-Valenzuela) at the Valenzuela City School of Mathematics and Science (ValMaSci).

There are 5,000 teaching and non-teaching personnel from the ciy’s public schools who were given P3,000 each from the local government.

According to the city government, the cash gifts are given to educators annually. The distribution is held every December.

Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie “Wes” Gatchalian led the distribution along with Valenzuela City Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Meliton Zurbano, and city government officials.

“Sana ay maramdaman po ninyo ang diwa ng Pasko sa munting regalo na hatid namin sa inyo (I hope you feel the spirit of Christmas through the little gift we gave to you),” Gatchalian said in a Facebook post.
