Tie-up seeks to provide topnotch customer service while ensuring safety for more Filipino households

Solane, one of the leading LPG brands in the country, partners with Landers Superstore, the country’s fastest-growing membership shopping establishment, to provide more Filipinos with access to safe and quality kitchen fuel through a quick and convenient shopping experience.

"We are honored to undertake this endeavor with Landers as we both share the same approach to quality and customer service when it comes to household consumption," says Jose Ricardo Delgado who is ExCom chairman of Isla Petroleum & Gas Corporation (IPG), the company behind Solane.

Under the partnership, Landers members may now order Solane 11kg refills on the Landers Superstore app, the mobile grocery platform of Landers Superstore, and avail delivery from Landers sites in Cebu, Arcovia Pasig, Otis, Balintawak, Alabang, BGC and UP Town Center. Through this, shopping for premium grocery items and ordering safe and quality LPG can now be done in a single transaction with just a few taps.

Present during the contract signing event last Oct. 20 were representatives of Solane—ExCom Chairman of Isla Petroleum & Gas Corporation Jose Ricardo Delgado, CEO of Isla LPG Corporation Jose Antonio Gonzalez, B2C Manager of ILC Rene Gamba. Representing Landers were Chairman of Southeastasia Retail Inc. Atty. Lowell Yu, together with Francis Reyes and Brice Cu, both directors of Southeastasia Retail Inc.

"Through this collaboration, we are optimistic that Solane can grow through the market base of Landers both through its physical stores and through its Landers app. In the same way, Solane can also help Landers grow its customer base," he added.

"We, at Landers, had a lot of success already with a lot of our partnerships, which have propelled to a different segment of the market. We would want to do the same with Solane," said Francis Reyes. "Together with Solane, we want to have a retail innovation, not just in-store but online, as well, by making sure that we get to serve our customers with quality products and the best customer service."

The partnership comes as Solane nears its 12th year of operations following the acquisition of Shell’s LPG assets in the Philippines. Since 2010, it has provided safe and trusted LPG products to Filipino households across the country, as well as commercial establishments and multinational ventures.

Ensuring topnotch customer service for its domestic household market, Solane introduced the Hatid Bahay delivery system and Online Ordering service to provide customers with a convenient and efficient way of ensuring that they get genuine Solane LPG tanks.

Solanefurthered strengthened this with the 7-Point Safety Check, an exclusive and free-of-charge service conducted by well-trained riders to help customers properly install their LPG cylinders.

On the other hand, Landers Superstore, since opening its first branch in June 2016, has provided elevated shopping experience for Filipino families through its selection of top-tier imported and local brands, personalized recreation areas and membership perks. Today, Landers has seven branches in the country and is seeking to expand nationwide.
