PCSO dispenses over P6-M lotto, STL shares to Caloocan, Navotas LGUs


The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) dispensed over P6 million worth of lotto and small town lottery (STL) shares to Caloocan and Navotas City local government units (LGUs).

Caloocan City Mayor Dale Gonzalo "Along" Malapitan personally received a check worth P5.5 million from PCSO General Manager Mel Robles last Tuesday, Dec. 6.

This amount was the total lotto and STL share of the LGU from January to June 2022, PCSO said.

Meanwhile, PCSO said that Navotas City Mayor John Rey Tiang also received a lotto and STL check worth P1 million from Robles.

Last Nov. 29, Robles also turned over P9 million worth of lotto and STL shares to Manila LGU.

It was received by Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna.

This initiative was in compliance with PCSO’s mandate of allocating 30 percent of its income to charity services Meanwhile, 55 percent of the agency’s income is set aside for game prizes and the remaining 15 percent is for operations.
