Construction worker arrested for carrying gun in Pasay City


A construction worker was arrested by police for possession of a .38-caliber revolver in Pasay City on Sunday, Dec. 4.

Col. Byron Tabernilla, Pasay City police chief, identified the suspect as Aniceto Julian, 54.

Tabernilla said the suspect was nabbed by members of Police Sub-Station 3 around 11:30 p.m. on Makabayan St. in Barangay 9, Pasay City, after a concerned citizen called up Police Sub-Station 3, informing them about a man wearing a black sando and green short, with a firearm tucked on his waist.

During questioning, Julian failed to show documents for gun possession.

The suspect was brought to the police station custodial facility. He was charged for violation of Republic Act 10591 (The Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Act).
