PRC Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Richard Gordon also shared his message for the RC143 volunteers in a statement on Sunday, Dec. 4.
"Hindi kailanman mapapantayan ng kahit na ano ang halaga ng ating mga volunteers. Saludo ako sa ating mga volunteers na purong pagmamalasakit sa kapwa ang dahilan ng kanilang mga ginagawang pagtulong ((Nothing can ever match the value of our volunteers. I salute our volunteers who are doing their best out of pure concern for others)," Gordon said.
The organization said that it will conduct volunteer promotion and recruitment in public areas and chapter volunteer recognition as a celebration of the event.
There will also be sharing of RC143 volunteers' stories.
"For over 75 years, PRC volunteers have dedicated their time and effort to ensure safety and provide assistance to the most vulnerable," PRC said.
From Jan. 1 to Dec. 1, PRC noted that it has already administered 400,895 Covid-19 vaccines and provided blood services to 230, 874 people with the help of its volunteers.
"Meanwhile, from 2020 to 2022, PRC Welfare Services served hot meals to 339, 323 victims of disasters and other emergencies," PRC added.
