The annual Christmas tree lighting was graced by Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto, Mandaluyong City Councilor Benjie Abalos, and Quezon City Councilor Wency Lagumbay.

In their holiday greetings, Sotto and Abalos called for the continued cooperation of the cities, noting the strong synergy between the local government units (LGUs) and the private sector.

"Sa pagsindi po natin ng Christmas tree na ito, pinapakita po natin na bumabalik na tayo sa mas normal na pamumuhay, masigla ang lokal na ekonomiya, at all is well sa atin as individuals, groups, and cities (As we light this Christmas tree, we are showing that our lives are returning to normal , our local economy is active and vibrant, and 'all is well' with us as individuals, groups, and cities)," Sotto said.

"When it comes to 2023, tayo po ay magtulungan. It's not only the cities or barangays kundi ang lahat po ng mga tao dito, dapat tayo ay nagsasama (When it comes to 2023, let us work together. It's not only the cities or barangays, but all of us here must unite)," Abalos said.

The joy and values of Christmas must also be practiced all year-round, he added.
