What you need to know about ‘Emily In Paris’ season three

And the looks are still très chic!

This month, our favorite American-in-Paris muse is heading back to Netflix. On Dec. 1, “Emily in Paris” unveiled its newest trailer with its central character, Emily Cooper, sandwiched in between double trouble, one with her career and the other with her love life. By the looks of its first trailers, the latest installment of the beloved series is promising with all its drama, beautiful French sceneries, and, of course, great fashion.

If you’re as excited as we are, here’s our guide on what you show know first about the saison trois of “Emily In Paris.”

Who will be there?

Lily Collins is back as the Chicago-bred aspiring marketing executive Emily Copper who is now deeply in love with Paris. Joining the actress in season three are her love interests Lucas Bravo, as Chez Lavaux's head chef Gabriel, and Lucien Laviscount as English banker Alfie in Emily's French class.

Also returning in season three are Ashley Park as Mindy Chen, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie, Camille Razat as Camille, and Samuel Arnold and Bruno Gouery as Julien and Luc of Savoir, respectively. Also back is Kate Walsh as Madeline Wheeler, Emily’s boss in Chicago.

What is it all about?

In the show’s early releases, it looks like Emily will be making tough decisions in season three. Its plot follows where season two ended with Emily deciding what she really wants after being offered a job at Sylvie’s new marketing firm or returning to Chicago for corporate promotion. Drama is also present in Emily’s love life as she is torn between her feeling for Gabriel and Alfie.

As depicted in the trailer, Emily is still in Paris but is sailing through troubled waters as she is seen working with Sylvie’s team while still being under the wings of Madeline. It seems like nothing is good as well in the romance department as Emily, while spending time with Alfie in season three, still has major love tension with Gabriel. A testament to that is her bangs situation.

Whether it is with Sylvie or Madeline or with Alfie or Gabriel, Emily definitely needs to put on her big girl stilettos to make the right decisions.

What about the clothes?

As expected, Emily’s fashions in the coming season will be beyond ringarde. From the scene-stealing zebra-printed top and the fuzzy psychedelic sweater to the dramatic feathered pink jacket, remarkable styling will continue to be part of the show’s ensemble. That’s all thanks to the sartorial storytelling of the show’s costume designers Patricia Field and Marylin Fitoussi.

When can you watch it?

“Emily in Paris” season three will have 10 episodes and is set to premiere on Netflix on Dec. 21.
