Honda’s all-new BR-V returns 22 to 24 km/l

Moving seven efficiently

Honda’s all-new BR-V continues to efficiently meet the mobility needs of Filipinos with a recent fuel economy run resulting in 22.61 to 24.70 kilometers per liter.

The new model was put to the test as Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) recently conducted a fuel economy run in partnership with the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP). The all-new BR-V topped the test with an impressive 24.70 kilometers per literfor the1.5 V CVT variant, followed by the top-of-the-line 1.5 VX CVT SENSINGregistering 23.48 kilometers per liter, while the 1.5 S CVT achieved 22.61 kilometers per liter.

HCPI together with AAP drove the seven-seater at a total distance of 128 kilometers without using the cruise control feature. The vehicle was driving with an average speed of 70 to 80 kilometers per hour. Finally, it’s air conditioning was set to low cool in thermostat setting, and No. 1 for the blower setting.

All variants of the second-generation Honda BR-V are powered by the improved 1.5L DOHC i-VTEC engine, mated to a new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) resulting in better power delivery and improved fuel efficiency. This pairing manages to deliver a smooth and refined performance while achieving an excellent fuel mileage.

“The second-generation BR-V aims to strengthen Honda’s model lineup to the next level. This All-New 7-seater ticks the right boxes in a family vehicle, it’s got the tough character of an SUV, advanced technology and safety features, power, and efficiency to deliver great satisfaction for both the driver and its passengers,” said Masahiko Nakamura, HCPI President.

The all-new Honda BR-V was officially launched just last November 21, 2022, offering Filipinos a vehicle to elevate their adventures in style, safety, and power without having to compromise fuel consumption, quality and durability. It is available in four (4) variants with the following image prices: P1,100,000 for the BR-V 1.5 S MT;P1,190,000 for the BR-V 1.5 S CVT;P1,300,000 for the BR-V 1.5 V CVT; andP1,390,000 for the BR-V 1.5 VX CVT SENSING.

This direction is in line with Honda’s global strategy of reducing the carbon footprint by providing a range of fuel-efficient models. The brand shall continuously strive to realize carbon neutrality along with achieving a collision-free society by 2050 through the standard reinforcement of Honda SENSING across its model lineup.
