Valenzuela gov’t to distribute ‘Pamaskong Handog’ for senior citizens


The Valenzuela City government announced on Monday, Nov. 28, that it will start the distribution of the “Pamaskong Handong para kay Lolo at Lola” on Dec. 9.

According to the city government, the beneficiaries of the gifts are senior citizens who are registered to the Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) on or before Oct. 14.

They will receive grocery items with two kilograms of rice, it added.

The local government also urged the senior citizens to let one of their relatives claim the gifts for their safety.

The relatives who will get the Pamaskong Handog should bring the OSCA identification card of the senior citizen, their own valid ID, an authorization letter with the signature of the elderly, and the claim stub.

On Nov. 15, the local government distributed to the seniors the claim stubs for the gifts.

The city government also reminded the recipients to follow the schedule and visit the redemption site stated on their claim stubs.
