Messenger arrested for theft, falsifying signature of disc jockey KC Montero in Pasay City


A liaison messenger/driver who falsified the signature of a radio disk jockey was charged with 28 counts of qualified theft through falsification of commercial documents and was arrested by members of the Pasay City police on Saturday, Nov. 27.

According to city police chief Col. Byron Tabernilla, the suspect, identified as Rommel Ilagan, 53, of Pasig City, and labelled as the top most wanted person in the city, was arrested by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section and Sub-Station 4, falsified the signature of disc jockey (DJ) Kasey Watt Miller who is better known as KC Montero.

Tabernilla said Ilagan was arrested around 9:50 p.m. along Y Tower, Mall of Asia (MOA) Complex, Barangay 56, Pasay City during the police conduct of a one-time, big-time (OTBT) operation.

The city police chief said a warrant of arrest was served against Ilagan issued by Judge Elisa R. Sarmiento, of Pasig City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 71 for 28 counts of qualified theft through falsification of commercial documents with a recommended bail of P990,000.

Tabernilla said Ilagan falsified the signature of Montero in collecting money.

He said the suspect is currently detained at the police custodial facility.
