19 nabbed in QCPD’s round-the-clock anti-criminality ops


Nineteen suspects have been arrested in round-the-clock anti-criminality operations conducted by the different stations of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD).

Police identified the suspects as Nelson Carmona, 37, a resident of Brgy. Paltok, Quezon City; Adam Seña, 38, of Brgy. Greater Fairview, Quezon City; and Joel Paragas, 35, of Brgy. Commonwealth, Quezon City, all for violation of Republic Act 9003 or Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000; and Florentino Quiroz, 33, of Gen. Trias, Cavite, for qualified theft.

Meanwhile, at least 15 individuals were also arrested in the campaign against illegal gambling.

The suspects were identified as Rinnilo Valencia, 34; Danilo Benosa, 46; Juliano Mitchilito Jr., 31; Marvilus Barcenilla, 27; Alvin Languido, 30, all residents of Brgy. Bagbag, Novaliches, Quezon City; Joy Almine, 38; Christian Estrada, 36: and Harry Tormo, 42.

Police also apprehended John Rey Pioquid, 41; Avel John Joria, 29; Julven Caalim, 41; Markliford Masanay, 27; John Micko Glifonea, 33; and Jeffrey Candelaria, 37.

The arrested suspects are all residents of Quezon City.

They will be charged for violation of P.D. 1602 (illegal gambling) before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office.
