DPWH Secretary Manuel M. Bonoan said the newly-completed roads provided safer and more convenient travel for motorists and market access for farmers.

Citing reports from DPWH Regional Office 3 Director Roseller A. Tolentino, Bonoan identified the completed projects as the concreting of a 1.79-kilometer section of a local road in Barangay San Juan De Mata and the improvement of a 1.35-kilometer local road in Barangay Care.

With the completion of the projects, road users can now have a safe and convenient travel experience while also boosting Tarlac City's agricultural sector by providing farmers better accessibility to market centers.

The projects have a combined cost of P61.9 million, funded under the 2022 General Appropriations Act (GAA) and implemented by DPWH Tarlac 1st District Engineering Office (DEO).
