Bulacan Governor Daniel R. Fernando urged Bulakenyos to be a blessing to others not just this Christmas but even beyond it.
“I encourage everyone to be a blessing. Let's continue to strengthen our faith so that we can feel true happiness, prosperity, and security, not only during the Christmas season but every day of our lives,” he said.
Fernando said gratitude, unity, and recovery are the words that linger in his heart as Christmas and the New Year draw near.
"May gratefulness and harmony prevail in our hearts that will serve as our beacon in our continued success as a province," he told hundreds of Bulakenyos who witnessed the “Pag-iilaw ng Krismas Tree" and "Parada ng Bulacan Christmas Carroza" held in front of the Provincial Capitol in the City of Malolos, Bulacan on Thursday, Nov. 24.
Fernando, together with Vice Governor Alexis C. Castro, Provincial Administrator Antonia Constantino, Board Member Cezar L. Mendoza, and Provincial History, Arts, Culture, and Tourism Office Head Dr. Eliseo Dela Cruz led the lighting of the 40-foot digitalized Christmas Tree made of dancing Light Emitting Diode (LED) lights accentuated with a huge star on top that illuminated the Capitol premises.
Colorful fireworks also added glitz to the activity as the Hiyas ng Bulacan Brass Band serenaded Bulakenyos with heartwarming Christmas carols.
Pyrex fire dancers displayed their talent while seven Christmas Carrozas featured designs that reflected the Joyful Mysteries of the Holy Rosary.
