Siblings Karl and Elaiza Yulo lived up to the expectations once more in the opening of the 2022 JRC Artistic Gymnastics Stars Championships in Bangkok, Thailand on Thursday, Nov. 17.
The youngest Yulo, Elaiza, captured the gold medal in the women’s individual all-around while the 14-year-old Karl finished with a silver medal in the men’s individual all-around category.
“Congratulations to these amazing who never failed me. First time to compete as a Junior and after 2 years of waiting because of the pandemic, we had a limited trainings because of the restrictions due to covid-19 and yet you never gave up and it pays off. Thank you to our Almighty God for giving me such wonderful kids. You made me proud,” wrote Angelica Poquiz Yulo, the mother of the Yulo siblings on her Facebook post.
Less than two weeks ago, their older sibling and Filipino Olympian Carlos Yulo took home silver and bronze in the 51st FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships.
As of press time, the younger Yulos are still competing in the four-day event in different categories.
