Tier One acquires RSG's slot in DPC Season as Tryke Gutierrez, Blacklist enter Dota 2 scene

After Blacklist International’s success in the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and the Call of Duty: Mobile professional scenes, Tier One Entertainment top executive Tryke Gutierrez has started his bid to form his own team in the professional Dota 2 scene.

Tryke, through a Facebook post, announced that Tier One already acquired the slot of RSG in the Division I of the DPC SEA Tour next season.

“This is so unreal but like what I said before, if your dreams don't scare you, they aren't big enough. Our journey back to the first game I fell in love with starts today. I would like to thank my friend Jayf Soh of RSG for being such a professional throughout this whole deal process. We will continue what you started,” said Tryke.

The announcement came a week after Tryke hinted on his plan of forming a "Philippine Dota 2 redeem team" for his Blacklist squad.

“First step secured. I would like to officially announce that Tier One Entertainment has now acquired RSG's slot in the Division one of the next DPC season. Next step, sign players,” added Tryke.

Interestingly, there’s an abundance of Filipino Dota 2 talent in the free agency so far lead by former T1 stars Carlo “Kuku” Palad and Karl “Karl” Baldovino. Also expressing their willingness to explore other opportunities are Boom Esports Timothy “Tims” Randrup, Erin Jasper “Yopaj” Ferrer and Rolen “skem” Ong.

Former Polaris Esports standouts John "Natsumi-" Vargas, Mc "Lelouch-" Villanueva, Nikko "Force" Bilocura Marvin "Xavius" Rushton and Nico "eyyou" Barcelon are also available after their release a couple of days ago.

The esports organization has been known more for its successes in the MLBB and CODM scenes where it has now won one world championship in each esports title. Blacklist Ultimate bagged the World East Championship title last year in the first-person shooting game while Blacklist International won the M3 World Championship and is still in the running to defend its tilt in M4 in January next year.
