DICT activates add'l free Wi-Fi sites in Nueva Ecija

The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has installed and activated additional free Wi-Fi sites in Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (Talavera Campus).

The initiative was made possible through DICT’s Free Wi-Fi For All (FW4A) program, and through its partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).

DICT’s FW4A is a digital empowerment scheme that seeks to connect Filipinos nationwide by ending the so-called “digital divide.”

“Free Wi-Fi sites just in time before the opening of classes. Public schools and state universities and colleges (SUCs) are public spaces that are of high priority for the rollout of free Wi-Fi sites,” said DICT on Thursday, Nov. 17.

The free Wi-Fi service may particularly be utilized at Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology’s stage, student center, ground floor, and second floor.
