MB Daily News Update: PBBM leaves for APEC Summit in Bangkok

President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is confident that his trip to the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Summit will be as fruitful as his trip to the recently concluded Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Summit. He left Wednesday afternoon for Bangkok, Thailand.

But before leaving, the President launched the “Kadiwa ng Pasko” food caravans where he noted that rice was being sold at P25 per kilo, nearer to the P20 per kilo he had envisioned for the country.

United States Vice President Kamala Harris will be visiting the Philippines after attending the APEC Summit, and will be holding talks with the President and Philippine counterpart Sara Duterte. She is also expected to go to Palawan to show support for the country’s claim in the South China Sea.

Meanwhile, the Ultra Lotto jackpot was not bagged anew, and it is expected to further balloon from what had been a P234-million bonanza when the next draw is held.

These are among the top stories this Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 16, 2022.
