During her fan meet event, the South Korean actress donned a Filipiniana look to delight her Filipino supporters.
“Squid Game” fans are still on a high after its star Jung Ho-Yeon’s recent trip to the Philippines. Last week, the Screen Actors Guild award-winning actress made her comeback to the country as she was officially welcomed as the ambassador of local company IAM Worldwide. Part of her activities was the “Jung Ho-Yeon Fun Meet in Manila,” which took place at the New Frontier Theater last Nov. 11. During the event, the South Korean star donned a Filipiniana look to delight her Filipino supporters.
According to a tip given by the event’s host Sam Oh to Manila Bulletin Lifestyle, Jung Ho-Yeon got her Filipiniana dress from Kultura. She definitely looked very charming in the traditional garb, which she styled with dainty gold jewelry pieces and a pair of black high-heeled shoes.
In a story by Manila Bulletin, Jung mentioned coming back to the Philippines to explore more of its islands and how she appreciates the love given to her by her Filipino fans.
“Since ‘Squid Game’ and the success of the show, things kind of took off for my career, my followers also skyrocketed, I noticed that of my followers, Filipino fans are ranked at No. 2. I always thought I would really like to go to the Philippines and meet my Filipino fans,” Jung said.
“I heard that there are a lot of islands in the Philippines, a lot of them have no people. I would like to go to one of them, do nothing, lie on the sand, look at the sky, get on a boat, get into the water and still look at the site and just do nothing because I really, really need a break right now,” she added.
You are always welcome here in the Philippines, Jung Ho-Yeon!
