6 persons with P390,000 shabu nabbed in Taguig 


Six persons were arrested by the police after they were caught with P390,320 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in buy-bust operations in Taguig.

On Nov. 14, the Taguig police’s Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) arrested Roderick Deguia, 35, a cell phone technician, in a buy-bust operation conducted along Capistrano Extension Barangay Hagonoy.

Deguia was busted with four plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 4.4 grams with a value of P29,920 and P200 buy-bust money.

In Barangay Upper Bicutan in Taguig, personnel from the Southern Police District (SPD) DEU and District Mobile Force Battalion initiated a buy-bust operation along J.P. Rizal Street on Nov. 14.

The police arrested five suspects, identified as Fe Posadas, 53; Mary Jane Prado, 52; Saida Abidin, 47; Komery Matindi, 38; and Masnaden Ayob, 46.

Seized during the operation were seven plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 53 grams and valued at P360,400.

All the six suspects will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

SPD chief Brig. Gen. Kirby John Kraft lauded the operating teams for their campaign against illegal drugs.
