1 person injured, 3 houses razed in Muntinlupa fire

One person was injured while three houses were razed in a fire in Muntinlupa on Nov. 11.

According to the Muntinlupa City Fire Station, the fire hit a house owned by Lousia Palicte at Block 10, Purok 1, Alcaraz Compound in Barangay Bayanan at about 4:40 p.m.

The first alarm was raised at 4:40 p.m. and the fire was put under control at 5:20 p.m. before it was put out at 5:39 p.m.

Three families or 10 individuals were affected by the fire, which damaged P125,000 worth of properties.

The fire station identified the injured individual as Wenefreda Ofril Palicte, 23, who sustained second degree burns on his right forearm and first degree burns on her right chest.

A total of 15 fire trucks from the Bureau of Fire Protection and local government units, and five ambulances responded to the incident.

The Muntinlupa City government provided food packs to the affected families. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
