CHED lauds 16 PH universities in the 2023 QS Asia University Rankings list 


The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) congratulated the 16 higher education institutions (HEIs) in the Philippines for making it to the list of best Asian universities.

“As HEIs continue to rise in global university rankings, CHED commits to prioritizing internationalization and setting milestones in nation-building,” CHED said.

In the 2023 Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Asia University Rankings released early this week, 16 HEIs from the Philippines have been included in the QS Asia University Rankings.

Based on the latest list, the University of the Philippines (UP) remained the country’s best institution of higher learning after being ranked 87th.

It was followed by Ateneo de Manila University (AdMU) at 134th place; De La Salle University (DLSU) at 171st place; and University of Santo Tomas (UST) at 175th place.

Twelve more universities were included in the list.

Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU), Mapua University (MU), and Silliman University (SU) were included in Ranking 551-600.

Mindanao State University - Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) was under Ranking 601-650.

Saint Louis University (SLU) and Xavier University (XU) made it to Ranking 651-700.

Adamson University, Cebu Technological University, Central Luzon State University,

Central Mindanao University, Central Philippine University, and Lyceum of the Philippines University were Ranking 701-750.

The QS is considered the world's largest international higher education network. It releases its ranking of top universities in Asia every year.
