Four farm group members withdraw support to CPP-NPA


PAMPANGA -- Four members of Alyansa ng mga Magbubukid sa Gitnang Luzon (AMGL) withdrew their support to Communist Party of the Philippines-New People’s Army on Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022.

An active Communist Terrorist Group member voluntarily surrendered to authorities on the same day.

Joint efforts of the 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company and other concerned police units and the Philippine Army facilitated the withdrawal of support by the four members of AMGL to the CPP-NPA.

The four AMGL members formally renounced the rebels’ movement in the presence of authorities at the Sinaglaya Hall Bataan 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company, Camp PFC Cirilo S Tolentino, in Balanga City, Bataan.

The day was also notable following the voluntary surrender of ‘Ka Reggie,’ an active rebel.

‘Ka Reggie’ also surrendered one improvised shotgun and five cartridge ammunition.

Police Regional Office 3 Regional Director BGen. Cesar R. Pasiwen said that the Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines continue to encourage the remaining supporters of the CPP/NPA to return to the government’s side and reunite to make the country free from any kind of terrorism.
