NPD arrests one of Valenzuela City's most wanted persons

The Northern Police District (NPD) announced on Monday, Nov. 7, the arrest of one of the most wanted persons in Valenzuela City.

Police identified the suspect as Jimmy D. Melanio, 43, a resident of Barangay Gen T. De Leon, Valenzuela City.

According to the report, Police Maj. Randy Mercado Llanderal, together with Warrant and Subpoena Section team, served a warrant of arrest to the suspect at Sitio Kabatuhan Compound 2, Barangay Gen T. De Leon, Valenzuela City at about 10:20 a.m. on Nov. 7.

Police said the arrest order was issued against Melanio for violation of Section 5 (Sale), and Section 11 (Illegal Possession of Dangerous Drug) Art. II of R.A. 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).

The accused was brought to Valenzuela City Health Department for medical examination and turned over at the Custodial Facility Unit of Valenzuela City Police Station.
