DOH records 6,346 new Covid-19 cases in the past week


The Department of Health (DOH) reported on Monday, Oct. 7 a total of 6,346 new Covid-19 cases during the past week.

In its weekly case bulletin, DOH said that daily average cases are currently at 907 which is 30 percent lower than cases from Oct. 24 to Oct. 30.

DOH also reported two cases tagged under severe and critical cases. Currently, there are 640 or 9.9 percent severe and critical Covid-19 admissions.

On the other hand, there are 503 or 20.6 percent out of 2,437 Intensive Care Unit (ICU) beds are currently being used while 5,145 or 24.3 percent out of 21,181 non-ICU beds are currently being utilized.

Meanwhile, DOH also recorded 243 deaths, 28 of which occurred from Oct. 24 to Nov. 6.

Of the 243 deaths, three occurred in November 2022, 37 in October 2022, two in September 2022, 58 in June 2021, 90 in May 2021, 40 in April 2021, and 13 in March 2021.

For Covid-19 vaccination, DOH recorded 73,582,128 fully-vaccinated individuals while 20,651,203 have received boosters or additional doses.
