UP opens assistance applications for students affected by ‘Paeng’, in need of financial aid


The University of the Philippines (UP) opened on Thursday, Nov. 3, the third round of applications for learning assistance to accommodate students who require financial aid as well as those who were affected by typhoon Paeng.

UP opened the Student Learning Assistance Online (SLAS Online) to accommodate its students who require assistance in Academic Year (AY) 2022-2023.

SLAS Online has started accepting applications beginning Nov. 3. The application period will be until Nov. 13, 2022.

Aside from those who need learning assistance, UP opened the application period to allow students who have been affected by “Paeng” to apply for financial assistance.

The release of results will be on Nov. 14 and the submission of appeals will be from Nov. 14 to 20, 2022.

“The Office will open the 4th round of SLAS Online applications for students who could not apply in the previous rounds,” UP said.

Meanwhile, students were advised to the SFA Helpdesk of their campus should they encounter issues when applying for the SLAS Online.
