Known for his performance on the series Destiny Rose and My Special Tatay, award-winning actor Ken Chan shared his life without all the glitz and glamour in the camera.

During his guest appearance on "TicTalk with Aster Amoyo" recently, Ken got serious about becoming an actor, a businessman, and having three families.

Ken, 29, started from a simple modeling job, and his acting career began to expand when he won the lead character of Destiny Rose.

According to him, making the show gave him a lot of opportunities throughout his career.

As he enjoyed the projects and blessings, Ken got one of the biggest surprises in life. In 2018, Ken found out that his father has another family before them.

"Nung nalaman ko po na may kapatid ako iba, imbis na galit at lungkot ang naramdam, natuwa pa ako kasi may kapatid po ako, and for me it's a blessing," Ken mentioned.

According to the actor, he has a step-brother who are twins, and the other one is step brother and sister who is two years younger than him.

Although Ken fully accepted his siblings, his mom Veronica was deeply hurt.

"Dumating po kami sa point na sumabog na si mama, hindi niya kinaya. Sinabi niya, you have to choose one hindi ka pwedeng magmahal ng dalawa," he said.

After the confrontation between his parents, Ken's father Allan chooses to live with his other family.

"Pinili ni papa yung kabila hindi dahil mas mahal niya yung kabila, alam ko na mahal na mahal din kami ng tatay namin, at mahirap sa kanya magdesisyon ng ganun," he added.

Accepting his parent's separation became a hard part for him because he has to stay strong for his mom and siblings. But according to Ken, he always thinks about his father even though they haven't seen each other in a while.

"Gusto ko lang po linawin na walang oras na hindi ko siya iniisip, hindi ko inisip yung kalagayan niya. Araw-araw, minu-minuto si papa nasa isip ko, madaling kami magkita pero oras-oras nasa isip ko siya," Ken mentioned. (Carissa Alcantara)
