QC gov’t halts weekend Covid-19 vax in malls

The Quezon City government has announced that its “QCProtektodo” Covid-19 vaccination program will no longer be held in its partner malls every weekend starting this month.

The city government said on Tuesday, Nov. 1, that individuals who want to get their missed initial and second doses, and booster shots in malls must first register online and book their Covid-19 vaccination schedules and venues through “QC Vax Easy Plus (https://qceservices.quezoncity.gov.ph/qcvaxeasy).”

It added that the complete schedule for the vaccinations in malls will be posted on its official Facebook page and website.

It also said that those who want to get vaccinated can also visit the nearest health center in their area Mondays to Fridays, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

They should bring a government-issued identification card. Those who are scheduled to get their second doses or booster jabs should also present their Covid-19 vaccination cards.

The city government reminded the vaccine recipients to arrive at the vaccination sites 15 minutes before their schedule.

As of Nov. 1, the city government logged a total of 6,721,153 individuals vaccinated against Covid-19 -- 2,599,028 of them were fully vaccinated, 2,600,988 got their first doses, 1,204,341 received their first boosters, and 316,796 were given second booster jabs.
