Pageant veterans join Miss GMADII 2022

They may have lost in  Bb. Pilipinas 2022 but it's not keeping Joanna Rabe and Patricia Samantha Go from pushing forward with their causes. The two were recently announced as candidates of the first-ever Miss GMADII pageant which will be held at Okada Manila on Nov. 29.

GMADII stands for Guardians Magistrate Advocators for Democracy International Inc. which has over 5 million members from different chapters nationwide. Its Founding Mother is Dr. Estela G. Bulacan who said the group was formed  to undertake community services, do charity work and lead in other noteworthy endeavors meant to support the government .

Patricia, 26, who hails from Quezon City, said she joined Miss GMADII to promote her advocacy of prioritizing children's health. She said this is a cause dear to her heart as she is a miracle baby. Rabe, also 26 - who is half-British and hails from Iba, Zambales - said she will espouse a drug-free Philippines to safeguard the young and make the country a safe place to live in.

Rabe was voted "Darling of the Press" during the Miss GMADII candidates' presentation held at the Glass Ballroom of Okada Manila last Oct 22.

Also present at the event were the night's emcee Klyza Castro, Mutya ng Pilipinas Asia-Pacific  International; DILG Undersecretary Atty. Alfred Bayan; National Commission on Muslim Filipinos Commissioner Yusoph Mandu; Police Brig. Gen. Ernesto Tendero Jr.;  Police Col. Miguel Guzman; and actress Keanna Reeves who is now a Philippine Army reservist.

The other candidates presented were Julie Ann Magtagad, Marylim Rizo, Mannelyn Benagale, Daniela Mari Breton, Penelope Velasco and Stephanie Ilagan.

There will be at least 20 candidates during the pageant itself, revealed Mikee Andrei, the general manager of the Philippines' premier beauty camp Aces and Queens. Andrei added that they will be in charge of holding the pageant and training the contestants, among other things.
